Cal. 577. NSN. This is an interesting composite musket made from military parts. A good gunsmith used 1862 dated Tower lock and 37” cut Tower barrel. Butt plate and trigger guard appear to be from US model 1795 pattern musket, and the iron ramrod pipes are also early. CONDITION: good to very good, overall. Iron patina. Mechanically fine, with pitted bore having traces of rifling. (01-22956/JS). ANTIQUE. $200-300.
