PROVENANCE
Collection of the economic attache to Richard Cunningham Patterson Jr. (1886-1966), US ambassador to Yugoslavia, 1945-46
Thence by descent in the family to the present owner

CONDITION
Observed out of frame, the painting is in good condition. Fine and stable age-appropriate craquelure to a small part of the sky and the dress of the peasant woman on the right. Inspection under UV light shows no apparent signs of restoration.

framed dimensions: 64 x 86 cm (25 1/4 x 33 7/8 in.)
