Service. An exceptional (4) piece Gorham Directional sterling modernist tea service fitted with wood handles and removable wood finials, designed by Phillip B. Johnson. Comprised of a coffeepot, teapot, lidded sugar, and creamer. All items are stamped verso, "Gorham Sterling," with a date stamp of 1956. The total approx. weight of all items is 55.07 troy oz (gross), excluding the wood finials. From an Upper East Side, NY estate. Dimensions: The coffee pot measures approximately 8.75" in height.
