A sterling silver model with gold wash detail of the 1851 racing yacht America, the first winner of the international sailing regatta now called the America's Cup. The schooner is affixed to a wooden plinth, and displayed in an acrylic case. Stamped "STERLING MEXICO" on the staysail. The display case measures 7.75 x 9.25 x 4.5 inches, and the schooner stands 5 inches high.
Condition: Very good condition. Uneven tarnish on the nameplate affixed to the display case.
