[ translate ]

SERIAL NUMBER: 1001497E. BARREL: 16 5/8". CALIBER: .223 REM. MANUFACTURED: 1974. The Heckler & Koch HK43 is a rare, semi-automatic 5.56mm "paramilitary" rifle manufactured in West Germany. Introduced in 1974, it is the direct civilian-market predecessor to the highly popular HK93. Only about 300 to 500 units were built globally, with roughly 200 legally imported into the U.S. In H&K's naming convention, the "4" denotes a paramilitary-style rifle (marketed to European reservists for practice), while the "3" indicates a chambering for .223 caliber. This model HK43 features the classic telescoping "A3" metal stock. This design is heavily inspired by the roller-delayed blow back system. The iconic collapsible MP5 style stock. The date code is "3/74" indicating that this rifle is early production. The rifle is also marked with "excl. for SACO", This means that the rifle was imported and distributed in the United States exclusively by the Security Arms Corporation (SACO). SACO served as Heckler & Koch's primary U.S. importer for civilian firearms in the early 1970s before H&K established its own American subsidiary. It also features H&K's signature roller-delayed blowback system and fluted chamber for reliable extraction, checkered polymer or plastic forend, a matching pistol grip, a post front sight, a rugged, rotating drum diopter rear sight for various ranges, a push-button release versus a "flapper" or paddle magazine release and the fire selector is marked simply "S" (Safe) and "F" (Fire). CONDITION: EXCELLENT. Operates normally. C&R
