gilded full plate movement, verge escapement, decoratively pierced and engraved balance bridge, striking coiled gongs to the inside back, unsigned, white enamel dial with Arabic numerals set to a gold plate with opaque light blue enamel background, chased and engraved gold balustrade with urns to the back, applied gilt-metal pedestals with two Jacquemart figures seemingly striking two bells held by a putti at the top of the dial, the Jacquemarts' arms moving in unison with the repetition, the pedestals each with a turning metal rod simulating water fountains pouring into a trough at the base, a swan within the trough bobs its head as the quarter hours strike whilst a dog beneath looks on, aperture for winding, gold case, the back with asymmetrical restored polychrome enamel painted medallion depicting a mother and child within a landscape setting with feather form engraved borders now lacking translucent enamel, opaque black and white enamel half roundels above and below with, respectively, two applied gold love birds and a cherub, bezels with blue translucent enamel heightened with a gold stringing interspersed by silver roundels, pendant numbered 64

Condition Report:
Movement: running at time of cataloguing. Repeating work, jacquemarts, fountain rods and bobbing swan are all operational.

Dial: with damage and repair between 9 and 10 o'clock, semi-circular hairline crack between 6 and 7 o'clock. Damage and repair to light blue enamel between the white enamel dial and the left hand jacquemart figure. Some cracking to the dark blue guilloche enamel.

Case: painted panel to back has been restored in soft enamel. Some chips, scratches and damage to bezels - especially below case catch opening and beneath pendant. Inner edge of case back with rippling, wear and some pin holes. Glass loose.
