Saarinen for Knoll Mid-Century Modern Womb Chair with Ottoman. Eero Saarinen (Finnish-American, 1910-1961). Red on black upholstered body on a polished chrome finish base. Knoll sticker to ottoman underside. The Womb Chair first designed in 1948; this example circa 1960. {Approximate dimensions: Chair 35 1/2 high x 39 1/4 wide x 34 inches deep, ottoman 15 1/2 high x 25 1/2 wide x 21 inches deep.}. Condition: Original upholstery with minor fading and wear. Light corrosion and dulling to the metal frame.
