Sadia, Wayan (b. Panestanan, Ubud, Bali, 1939) Harvest

Done in his typical manner of painting elongated human figures, in the style of Rudolf Bonnet, in this painting, Wayan Sadia also borrowed the master’s color palette. However, unlike Bonnet, who likes to concentrate on one or two main figures, Sadia populates his paintings with numerous figures, almost the same size, doing various chores around the main theme. In this painting, men and women work together, cooperating in making the harvest a success.
