Salt cellar (2) - Silver - Not hallmarked, tested for silver - Probably Florence - Italy - 19th century
Pair of splendid silver salt shakers. Probably Florence 19th century, Empire period, note the splendid and elegant decorations with specular winged griffins, the round trays have a golden interior to prevent them from oxidizing in contact with salt and below is engraved the monogram of the noble family to whom they belonged. On the edge of a tray there is a very slight lack, visible from the photos.
With no apparent hallmarks, the silver test was made. Height approximately 6. 5 cm, diameter approximately 6. 7 cm. Weight 191 grams.
