Very beautiful and rare double salt cellar stand, sterling silver, Napoleon I era, hallmarked 1st grade Rooster, 1798-1809, hallmark of silversmith Jean Baptiste Simon Lefranc, great Parisian silversmith, richly carved decoration, the feet depict Atlantes (male caryatids) above clawed feet, the receptacles are dark blue glass, the whole set constitutes a very beautiful piece of French silver-work from the early 19th century.
