Silver salt cellar in the shape of a Viking ship, Storck & Sinsheimer, Hanau ca. 1900. Special piece by the important silversmith from Hanau Storck & Sinsheimer. The salt cellar stands on 4 legs in the shape of fish. On top are 2 putti carrying a globe. The ship has a figurehead and a man's face can be seen by the wheel. The side flanks are decorated with various shields with images on them. Hallmarked: - Moon: German silver. - Maker S*SH: Storck & Sinsheimer, Hanau {1874-1930}. The maker's mark represents a silver content of 800/1000. Dimensions: 9. 2 cm - 4 cm - 6. 5 cm (wxdxh) . Weight: 96 grams. Condition: excellent. 1 tiny hole in the bottom, unobtrusive and only mentioned for completeness. Will be shipped registered and insured.
