Salvador Dali (1904-1989) BRONZE ''Alma del Quijote" Set on marble base with bronze plaque, Measures: 13''H x 6.25''W x 6''D. Dalí began making a group of small sculptures sometime around 1973, working directly in wax, and he continued this activity through 1979. This provided a rest from painting and the studio as he worked in the mornings while sitting outside in the sun. The warmth of the sun helped Dalí from a technical point of view as it made the wax more malleable and responsive to his touch.
