Dali gave this work to the original owner as a gift in appreciation for their assistance in his preparation of a large-scale mural that he was painting for the exhibition in the Spanish Pavillion at the 1964-65 World's Fair in New York.
Other Notes: The authenticity of this work has been verbally confirmed by the late Robert Descharnes.
