Wonderful work by the artist Salvatore Candido, entitled "Grotta a Posillipo". Little is known about the artist and his origins. The critic Alfredo Schettini hypothesized the artist was actually Ercole Gigante who, overhung by the figure of his brother, signed with a pseudonym. The painting is in the first canvas, the signature is coeval. No restorations; the frame is vintage. Measure cm 20 x27; with frame cm 32x 42.
