Salvatore Magazzini was born on 28 February 1955 in Pistoia, where he lives and works and has been exhibiting since 1969.
Numerous personal exhibitions in Italy: Prato, Signa, Quarrata, Pistoia, Montecatini Terme, Legnago (VR) , Poggio a Caiano, Forte dei Marmi, Massa, Viareggio, Verona, Pignola (PZ) , Carrara, Monteriggioni (SI) , Bari , Nuoro, Empoli, Pescina (AQ) , La Spezia, Florence, Bologna, Milan, Rome, Reggio Calabria, Abbadia Isola (SI) , Siena.
It is present in important foreign collections: Switzerland, France, the United States, Germany, Japan and Morocco.
Since 1991 it has been included in the Prandi international graphics catalog of Reggio Emilia and since 1992 in the Pandolfini auction catalog of Florence.
In '94, '95 and '96 he was present with a personal room at the Arte Fiera of Bologna.
In '96 at the Milan Art Fair.
It is present in '95 and '96 in the Farsetti auction catalog of Prato.
RAI dedicated four reports on his work to the artist.
Among the major critics who have written about him we mention: Pier Carlo Santini, Mauro Innocenti, Alberico Sala, Tommaso Paloscia, Francesco Giunta, Omar Calabrese, Mario Luzi, Antonio del Guercio.
His sculptural activity (started in 1969) is also of considerable importance: especially that in his youthful phase, which includes The Man of Monteriggioni, reviewed by Mario Luzi and located in the atrium of the Quarrata Town Hall (PT) .
