Sanette Mother Hubbard Metal Waste Can

A mid-century pedal-operated kitchen waste bin constructed from painted metal with a reddish-brown finish. The cylindrical body features a domed lid attached via a rear-mounted hinge and latch mechanism. The front is decorated with cream and black graphics for Mother Hubbard's Convenient Step-On Waste Can, including a lower cartouche detailing intended uses for kitchen scraps, shavings, and snuff. The interior contains a removable white-painted metal bucket with a wire bail handle. The chrome-finished foot pedal is embossed with the brand name Sanette. A small white adhesive label with the handwritten number 44 is attached to the foot pedal.
