As one can likely glean from this elegant design, the Santa Eulalia department store caters to Barcelona's most bourgeois clients with luxury fashion from international designers. Founded in 1843, the store was first located on Calle de la Boquería at the old portal where Santa Eulalia became a martyr during the Roman era, which offered the store its name. In 1926, the store hosted one of Barcelona's first fashion shows, which cemented Santa Eulalia's sartorial prestige for generations to come; it is open to this day, and as elegant as ever.
