Saqez, Kurdistan - Antique mouj/jajim - 180 cm - 160 cm

Great Antique mouj/jajim having wonderful design and colour from Saqez-IRAN around 1950-1960. As a kind of jajim, mouj is normally thinner and were woven in separate layers approximately 30cm wide and then connected together to form the desired size. Mouj had different applications for tribal people mainly as a blanket and bed cover. Today many use it as a part of decoration besides basic usages. Now it is three years that I have migrated to Turkey for rug trade. Every month I travel to IRAN for collecting rugs , kelims and jajims and offering them to this art lovers from around the world.
