1862 (28 Jan.) envelope to Lincoln, bearing India 1856 2a. and 4a. pair, all tied by double-ring "post office/sarawak" (Type PS2) with manuscript date "28/1/62" inserted and each cancelled "B/172", showing manuscript "1/2" in red ink with, on reverse, "singapore/po" transit d.s. in red and Lincoln arrival c.d.s. (16.3); with some minor faults including soiling. A very rare cover being the earliest known with the Sarawak h.s. cancelling the adhesives. Photo
