Sasanian Jasper Stamp Seal Bead w/ Abstract Eagle
Ancient Near East, Sasanian (Sassanian, Sasanid) Empire, ca. 224 to 651 CE. A hemispherical stamp seal carved from opaque, dark green jasper with a laterally pierced suspension loop. The stamp face features an abstract linear-form eagle facing forward with a right-facing head and spread talons surrounded by a dashed border. Custom putty impression included. Size: 0.5" W x 0.6" H (1.3 cm x 1.5 cm); 2" H (5.1 cm) on included custom stand.
