Satsuma Porcelain Vase

DESCRIPTION: Elaborately decorated Satsuma vase featuring two prominent haloed figures-one man and one woman, the latter of which holds a scroll-surrounded by several haloed men. Figures' clothing and the backgrounds are elaborately decorated with various patterns which continue toward the top and base of the vase. Various elements of the design and motifs are gilt including the vase's lip, base, and image borders and the clothing hems and halos of the figures.
