Chinese porcelain cup and saucer fish and crab décor, marked - China - 19th century
On offer is an antique underglaze-blue export porcelain cup and saucer with fish and crab decoration, made in the 19th century. Marked at the bottom with a 4 character Kangxi reign mark. This decoration is very attractive and stands symbol for a prosperous, wealthy and long life. This symbolic decoration was popular from the late Ming period onwards, till the end of the 19th century. Date: End of 19th Century.
Size: Saucer measures 10,7cm across. Cup measures ca. 7cm across.
Condition: Very good! Only a frit on the cup and tiny fleabite on the saucer.
