He has used the opportunities afforded by his travels to indulge his enduring love for wine, particularly interesting, rare, and antique bottles. Purchases have been made over the last 10 years, often face to face and through personal contacts as well as from specialist wine merchants and local auctions. The collection, as a result, is quite eclectic, made up of small parcels and individual bottles.
