Scarce German Water Protection Police (Wasserschutzpolizei) Officers Dress Dagger by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen, good example with blue leather covered grip with the wire binding. Gilt brass flame ball top and cross guard with release button to the centre. Housed in the original gilt brass scabbard with two hanging rings. Double edged blade with Carl Eickhorn, Solingen makers trademark and etched with anchor and naval scenes. Tan leather buffer pad to the base of the blade. The blade measures 25cms, overall 40cms.
Dagger grip does not appear to have ever had a eagle emblem insignia fitted.
