Scarce Heddon Model 35 Casting Reel
Stamped "Made by James Heddon's Sons - Dowagiac, Mich - No. 35", this early entry into the Heddon line of reels was introduced in 1917. A 2" diameter, 1 5/8" wide spool reel that features a dual grasp handle and fancy front mounted click switch. With a thin band of fine knurling on the head plate, this example also features three incised circles on the tail plate. One of the more difficult Heddon reels to acquire, with this one in Ex unpolished condition, marked with a "1" on the underside of the foot.
