Notes: Note:
Dr. Schroeder Cherry, a native of Washington, DC, is now a Baltimore-based artist and 2019 Sondheim competition finalist known for capturing everyday scenes of African American life.

According to the artist, this work is from the ongoing 'Angel' series, inspired by a Gabriel García Márquez short story about an angel who fell to earth. We would like to thank Dr. Cherry for his kind assistance cataloguing this work. Dimensions: 46 x 22-3/4 in (116.8 x 57.8 cm)

Condition: Under black light: no apparent restoration. The work is unframed and the perimeter is protected with black tape. Small area along left edge where a small piece of canvas appears to be adhered, one small abrasion with lifting along right edge and minor frame abrasion left edge.
