Description: Black Madonna — Probably Piedmont, 18th c. Standing Madonna in long, draped robe and cloak, her curly hair covered with a veil and richly decorated crown, holding the crowned Boy Jesus on her left arm. Hardwood, hollowed at the back, fragmentary colouring and gilding. H. 120 cm. - Signs of age, repaired, reinforced at the back. / Schwarze Madonna Wohl Piemont, 18. Jh. Stehende Muttergottes in langem, faltenreich drapiertem Gewand und Mantel, das lockige Haar mit Schleier und von reichverzierter Krone bedeckt, den bekrönten Jesusknaben auf ihrem linken Arm haltend. Laubholz, rückseitig gehöhlt, fragmentarische Farbfassung und Vergoldung. H. 120 cm. - Altersspuren, repariert, rückseitig verstärkt.
