Burning Leaves
signed Scott Kahn and dated ‘87 (lower right); signed KAHN and by Scott Kahn, titled and dated 1987 and ©1987 (on the overlap)
oil on linen
66 by 78 in.
167.6 by 198.1 cm.
Executed in 1987.

Condition Report:
This work is in very good condition overall. The colors are vibrant and fresh. Upon close inspection and most visible under raking light, there are scattered transparent, shiny drip accretions as well as a few brown spot accretions visible throughout the upper half of the composition. Upon further close inspection there are several faint horizontal scuffs and light scratches in the lower center of the composition, most visible in the fruit basket. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, two minute areas near the upper right corner fluoresce darkly and appear to have benefitted from light retouching. The aforementioned drip accretions in the painted sky fluoresce brightly but are not the result of restoration. Framed.

Framed dimensions: 66 ½ by 78 ½ (168.9 by 199.4 cm.)

Provenance:
Katharina Rich Perlow Gallery, New York
Acquired from the above circa 1987 by the present owner
