Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Scott Reeder now lives and works in Detroit, Michigan. Working in a wide range of media, this painting is from Reeder's series of pasta paintings in which cooked and uncooked spaghetti is silhouetted and spray painted to create an abstract composition. In 2011, his first solo museum show was mounted at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, for which he created a large-scale, site-specific wall painting from his abstract spaghetti series for the museum.
