A late 18th century Scottish grandfather clock by "George Murray, Donn (Doune)". 8-day weight driven time and strike movement with arched Brass dial and Silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals, cast Brass spandrels and subsidiary seconds and date dials. Mahogany case with contrasting Satinwood inlay features a classic broken arch crown with Brass finials above an arched dial door flanked by turned columns with Brass capitols and bases over a rectangular waist door and molded base with short bracket feet. Older refinishing with minor wear, some shrinkage and minor damage, running when cataloged. 84 3/4" high. ESTIMATE $2,000-3,000
