tooth with two inscriptions, mostly illegible, but they do mention Fayal Island, Azores, Portugal. As well as the United States Navy, and the date 1864. Tooth is polished. 6" long, 2 1/2" wide. 326.4 grams. Shows several small stress cracks to base. Provenance; Westport, MA collection.
