Nakabayashi Chikuto(1776-1853) Plum Blossoms by Moonlight. Pupil of Yamada. Un-Sho and Kamiya Ten-yu. Dated 1852. Sumi on paper. 42 3/4" by 14". Larger with current backing and silk borders. Inscription by Kaioku, Purchased in 1972 at Dawsons Bookshop, Los Angeles. Dawsons handled rare books and prints at that time. I have added a signature/handwriting sample from 1828 as the last photo.
