A superb Buddha sitting on his throne from the late 18th / early 19th century. Piece from Laos, Lan Xang period. This teak sculpture is almost 46 cm high is attractive with its Star wars style headdress, very original. Lacquered with a brownish plate, this Buddha is finished with orange golden leaves. Calling on the earth to witness, he is on his tapered throne with a lacquered red and black plate. A gold leaf circle testifies to the offering. Very rare piece. Unique.
