Sublime Buddha, eroded, from the Konbaung period, 18th century, Burma Very decorative piece despite its condition. The Konbaung Dynasty, 1752-1885, named the dynasty of Alaungpaya, was the last Burmese monarchy. It was founded by Alaungpaya, a village chief who led a rebellion against the Monks, it succeeded to the Taungû Dynasty (1531-1752) . Wooden sculpture of Buddha, calling on the Earth to witness, on a throne representing Mount Meru. Very serene and smooth face. On the front part of the throne there are inscriptions in Pali. 52 cm high. Kanaka Collection. Sent with a certificate of authenticity. With a few lacks, breaks, cracks. . .
