A wooden and painted carving of the Virgin holding the Child Jesus. Virgen del Carmen. Glass eyes on both figures. She is dressed with silks, gold threads embroidery. Earrings and brooch. They were called in Spain Cap i Pota,. They can be dressed with different clothes and the Virgin figure has articulated arms. Luckily they have all their fingers, which is unusual; due to the age this type of sculptures usually have some missing fingers. Very very large and heavy. 97 cm with crown. 86cm only figure, not base, not crown. 6. 5kg approx. Very good condition, it was in a cabinet. Only a small piece on silk of a sandal is not original
