A West Indian (Ambawadi, Ahmedabad) sandalwood group with a king driving an elephant with a carriage ('howdah', or 'houdah') on its back during tiger hunting, 2nd half 20th century, ca 21 cm. high, 8. 5 cm. wide and 9. 5 cm. long.
The king holding a spear, the tiger biting into the elephant's trunk, the richly decorated carriage containing two wealthy people, some omissions and age cracks (images #15-17) .
