Sculpture of great charm and spirituality. Italy, Tuscany, early 18th century. The examined Christ, with his expressive strength and the extraordinary details of his anatomy, conveys a unique emotion. The sensation to touch is truly remarkable, like the visual one, and the perception is that of a body that is still alive. Analyzing the sculpture from a compositional point of view, we can see that it can be attributed to the Tuscan school and presumably the work of a great master.

Very fine, high-antique object, coming from an important private collection. The sculpture has a new structure with a marble base and wrought iron support. The sculpture has no recent restorations and is in good conservation conditions but may show signs of aging and deficiencies.
