Gilded bronze print representing a naked young woman with a wild rose flower at her feet. Signed on the Antonin Carles terrace and titled “La Jeunesse”. Foundry mark Siot-Decauville Fondeur, Paris and numbered D347. Green Algerian marble-onyx base, very small repair following a slight chip on one corner.

The Plaster acquired at the Salon of 1883 (NO 3426) , placed in 1886 in the marble depository, was deposited in 1889 at the Museum of Fine Arts in Grenoble; reductions were produced in marble, in biscuit by the Sèvres factory in three sizes, in bronze and gilded bronze by Siot-Decauville in two sizes; commissioned by the state in 1883; statue commissioned from the Salon
