Spectacular and rare ancient bell of Florentine origins in very ancient bronze with original patina of time and internal clapper absolutely coeval with the bell and authentic.
The object is made of solid bronze and very heavy.

The letters IHS are the Latin initials for "Jesus Savior of men" (lesus Hominum Salvator) . It is an explanation of the Hebrew meaning of "Ieshua". , often stylized with a cross in the H, is a nomen sacrum which since the Middle Ages has had very wide use in the figurative art of the Catholic Church as a Christogram.

Bernardino had a great devotion to the Holy Name of Jesus, and created a monogram for it: IHS.

There are also lilies in relief,

In the Christian religion, the lily was a symbol of the purity of the Virgin Mary and still today represents purity and chastity. According to other interpretations, the white lily is also the flower of Saint Joseph. For the Bible, the lily was associated with Eve but also with the people of Israel.

The object is in excellent condition. The relief is very refined and has a beautiful patina which if cleaned and polished this bronze acquires a brilliance that explains the quality of the materials.
