It is a monumental white marble sculpture, Carrara type - depicting the head of Emperor Caracalla in a Roman imperial laurel wreath, which was placed on a marble pedestal. Very nice old sculpture, unique, with patina, not cleaned.

Emperor of Rome - Caracalla born April 4, 188, died April 8, 217; Caracalla, Lucius Septimius Bassianus, Marcus Aurelius Antoninus Bassianus, Marcus Aurelius Severus Antoninus - Roman emperor from the Severus dynasty, son of Emperor Septimius Severus and Empress Julia Domna. He co-ruled with his father, and after his death (for a short time) with his younger brother Septimius Geta. After his murder in 212, he became an independent emperor.
