Satyr's face made entirely of bronze with marble base support. Late 20th century, from Italy. In the 50s / 60s, following the discovery of some statues and frescoes depicting the ‘dancing satyr’, or ‘drunken satyr’ between the ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum, some casts were made and used by various artists and foundries to create this artwork. The sculpture is in good condition as shown in photos, except for a some minor signs of age. Height 51 cm Shipping will be carried out with a lot of protective packaging material, in order to ensure its entirety during the whole delivery process. Created with the lost-wax casting technique.
