From Pompeii, House of the Faun; a Roman copy after a Greek original dating back to the 1st/2nd century B. C.
It is a bronze statue produced with the lost wax technique. It was made from a cast of the original made at the beginning of the 20th century by the Chiurazzi foundry, a historical foundry in Naples.
