Carving of good quality with some 'art nouveau' influences.

Executed around 1915 probably in Germany or Austria.

The legend of Saint Christoffer tells about a ferryman who had to ferry a small child.
While crossing the river Christopher noticed that the small child was immensly heavy.
Later he found out it was Jezus. And because Jezus carry's the whole world in his hand he was so heavy !
