Description. He is represented sattvasana sitting on the rings of the naga whose six heads stand as a canopy. His hands are in dhyana-mudra. The expression on his face is full of serenity. His eyes are open and slightly looking down. It is richly adorned with jewelry including double necklaces on the ankles and wrists. Pectoral necklace andarms bracelets just below the shoulders. The global inconography of this nagga is characteristic of the angkor vat style. Really high polish of sandstone who is signifiant of Royal order. IMPORTANT MEASURE ARE OUT OF BASEDatation. End of 12th century. Condition. Excellent condition considering the age of the piece. Missing one head of nagga, and part of snaketail at the back. Black and red lacquer residue on several place Please check pictures for global condition. Provenance. Private collection of C. Mines acquired before 1975. Delivery.
