Sculpture, Soldiers (2) - Wood - Late 19th century

2 antique wooden sculptures depicting soldiers with helmets in beige uniforms and red and yellow boots. The arms are made of a combination of wood and fabric. Polychrome is unfortunately almost gone, remains can still be seen on the boots, helmets and face. Expertly made by an unknown (Portuguese ?) maker at the end of the 19 or early 20th century, especially the faces with long eyebrows and the dark eyes stand out. In their hands they probably had a spear, sword or shield, but these are unfortunately gone. Stand loosely on their pedestal. Dimensions: height 30 cm, width +/- 10 cm.
