Our "Nkisi" power figure was used by the Nganga `Fetischeur to beg for protection, healing and happiness in life. The magic ingredients and multiple metal nails served to boost the power potential of the fetish. Ex. Colonial collection, Hoge Huybrechts, Ekeren/Belgium. Hard, yellow-brown wood type. Face with white painting and headgear traces of green. Pedestal, feet and legs with brown oil patina. A lot of peeling paint and wear. Right eye with glass inlaid (left glass missing!) Belly cabinet closed with mirrored glass disc. Full body covered with red textile ribbon and blue nylon cord. Many kinds of iron nails front and back body. Clay resin mass with dust deposits over the entire package. Four small hand forged bubbles in front package. Pedestal with glued fractures. Beautiful "Nkisi" with all the paraphernalia!
