Oil on canvas depicting a still life with jewellery box, frame, shell, blue carpet and pomegranate, French school of the late XVII / early XVIII century. This work of Nordic matrix, finds interesting affinities with Meiffren Lecomte (Marseille, 1630 - 1705) , an artist born in Marseille, who was an apprentice of Antonio Nalli, a Genoese painter, with whom he resided under the name of Monsu Conte. This splendid composition, shown in the foreground, is characterised by a skilful use of light that describes the objects placed on the table in a naturalistic way. Condition: the artwork is in good condition with small scattered restorations. 20th-century frame. Size: 73 x 60 cm without frame. 86 x 73 cm with frame.
