Scuola Italiana del XVII-XVIII secolo - Putto

[ translate ]

\Artist: Scuola Italiana del XVII-XVIII secolo
Technique: Oil on canvas\Signature: Not signed\Dimensions: 49_42_5_cm
Antique painting, oil on canvas, dating from the second half of the 17th to the beginning of the 18th century, depicting a refined Putto. The painting seems to be attributable to the seventeenth-century Emilian School, plausibly around the second half of the century, for the classical graces and the soft drafting, as well as that Renian sentiment developed in a classicist way that will find widespread diffusion around the middle of the century until the early years of Eighteenth century. Observing the typology of the face and the character of the drawing, we perceive similarities with the tests of Carlo Cignani (Bologna, 1628 - Forlì, 1719) to which both the compositional and stylistic characters and the representation of the subject refer. Framed in a beautiful gilded frame, which has slight defects and shortcomings. In fairly good general condition considering the age of the painting, in patina, it would perhaps benefit from a light cleaning. There are some small scattered restorations and some slight unveiling of the pictorial surface, however nothing really relevant. There are no conservation problems and the original canvas has an old relining that does not seem to need any interventions. A fine crackle is visible compared to the time. The frame seems to have been replaced at the time of the relining. Measurements of the painting: 40. 5 x 32 cm - Measurements of the frame: 49 x 42 cm Work accompanied by a certificate of photographic authenticity, as per current legislation. Shipping via insured express courier and packaging performed with the utmost care.
