Impressive painting from the late 19th century, incredibly deep, large in size, astonishing.

Oil on canvas, hand signed by the Italian school.
The very ancient wooden frame is wonderful with reliefs, carvings and decorations, the inlaid wood is covered in gold leaf, gilded, with a bronze effect.
Both the painting and the frame inevitably show signs of aging, small imperfections which, in our opinion, give them great patina and charm. (As highlighted in the photos)
No major defects.
It presumably tells of a return or a departure, (due to the way the sailing boat is facing we believe more of a return home.
