Oil on canvas, XVIII century, depicting the finding of Moses. According to the Bible, the mother of Moses, fearing the persecution of pharaoh who had ordered to kill all Jewish male children, hid her little son in swaddling clothes in a reed bed on the banks of the Nile. The one who found the child was the daughter of the pharaoh with her handmaids, who decided to take care of the child. The painting is in excellent condition considering its age.
